As you know, Jordan and I along with a wonderful group of ladies traveled mid June to Jamaica. Our purpose for going was not a luxury vacation, but instead to live out James 1:27 "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." Our group spent our days at two Jamaican orphanages as well as a poverty stricken fishing village. God did some amazing things while we were there. He touched all of our hearts in some way or another. He is faithful, He is merciful, He is Grace.

Our group was up bright and early...ok well middle of the night-4am! And took our 16 bags off to catch our first flight. And no, 8 women didn't need 16 checked bags! They were all filled with donations of everything from diapers to pencils. Everything was going like clockwork until we all started to check in and get our boarding passes when Brenda's passport was rejected-it was later than 10 years old. We were all in shock as we had to leave her, hoping she could get something figured out and get on a later flight. Good news was that once we got to Houston, she called to say that her husband found her current passport and was driving it to her and she would be on a flight the following day! Whew! It just wasn't the same without her. We had great flights all the way to Montego Bay and arrived a little after noon in Jamaica to the hardest downpour I think I have ever seen! Cats, Dogs, and cows, I swear! All was good as Frank our bus driver was there waiting-poor guy had to wait 2 hours as our flight out of Houston was delayed. To Be Cont...
