I have been following this beautiful family for some time now. They adopted their sweet daughter Carmen from Guatemala and shortly after her coming home, they found out that their daughter had Tay Sachs. Tay Sachs, AB Variant is a rare inherited disorder that causes progressive destruction of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord (the central nervous system). Carmen is 5 months younger than Gabe, she will be 4 this July. Carmen will not recover from her Tay Sachs and she will be joining Jesus' angels in heaven sometime soon. She struggles daily to breath, maintain body temperature, and cannot move or communicate. Carmen's parents are struggling right now, not only the pain that they are in watching this disease take their sweet girl, but having to make choices that no one should have to make. I ask for you do join me in prayer for this family, for Carmen's older sister, and her sweet new baby sister and for Carmen.
Jesus, Jehovah-Rapha, I ask for your healing powers on sweet Carmen and her family. Lord only you can bring this family peace and comfort. Only you know why and when. Please wrap your arms around them, their family, Carmen's nurses, and friends. Give them peace in their decisions Lord and peace to Carmen's frail earthly body. We lift them up to you Lord Jesus. Amen
