Yes!! It finally happened...after at least 3 years of not being in a Holiday mood-this year I am!! (Ok, last year I was close as it was Gabe's first, but with school and having Gabe only been home 3 months life was too crazy!) I have already started my shopping, in fact am a good chunk done and am actually having to force myself not to turn on the holiday tunes. The great part is that this year, it does not feel like it is about the gift buying or not having enough money. We are making due with what we have and going to make it about love and little baby Jesus! Yes, we will be heading to Florida again this year, but decided that it is not about making everyone happy and are going to make it a relaxing family time!
Now, I just have to work on my hubby!
On a side note, my best friend (of 27 years) is wrapping up a stay at U of M with her son, trying to figure out what is going on with him. Poor S has been having episodes of falling asleep - almost passing out and will be out for hours at a time. Which can be very scary. They are coming home today without clear answers, but with an appt to do more tests in a couple of months.
Also, a good friend just had surgery for cancer and things seemed to have gone well as they caught it early!
Praying for both of my friends and their families!!
