Talked to my first graders about elections today, freedom to vote, choosing who would be a good fit to lead us etc. And so, in talking about how Michigan voted on a new governor last night, I showed the kids photos on my projector of the two candidates. Many comments on how one looked 'older'. Well, who did 14 out of 16 kids vote for??? The younger, no grey hair guy! Guess who actually won (in real life)....the older, greyer gentleman.
Kinda made me chuckle a how looks count...at least to 6 and 7 yr olds!
