My beautiful daughter is 11 years old. Each time we go shopping it is a discussion of what should an 11 year old wear and what the 'world' wants an 11 year old to wear. At school there is talk of 'having boyfriends' earlier and earlier. Each time we turn on the TV we see way too many adult things to even name.
So tonight, Jo and I with our friends Anna and Mellisa went to a young woman's purity event. Each princess learned what it means to be a princess of God and what God wants from his daughters.
This was Jordan's second purity event, but her first was when she was 6. That was when we first read the book The Princess and the Kiss by Jennie Bishop. "The Princess and the Kiss beautifully portrays the ageless message that "love...comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith" (1 Timothy 1:5 NIV)" It now takes on new meaning as we head into the teen years.

I am so blessed to be Jordan's mom and it is my prayer that she will remember forever how much God loves her. Tonight she said to me, "Mom, tonight was life changing!" I sure do hope so!

What a wonderful blessing to have knowing your daughter is making the pledge to remain pure!
