So, this is our in-China Schedule!! It is all begining to seem so real! I have so much to do yet! But....we are going to bring home my baby!!
September 10, 2009 Arrive in Beijing @ 3:15 p.m. Joy, (Shiyan’s assistant) will meet you at the airport. Stay at Chang’an Grand Hotel (formerly Day’s Hotel & Suites).
September 11, 2009 Acrobatic show in the afternoon.
September 12, 2009 Visit the Great Wall and Cloisonne Factory.
September 13, 2009 Visit Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and Hutong Tour
September 14, 2009 Flight to Nanjing. Receive your child in the afternoon. Stay at Grand Hotel.
September 15, 2009 Adoption registration and notarization in the afternoon.
September 16, 2009 Free
September 17, 2009 Visit Xuan Wu Lake Park.
September 18, 2009 Receive all the documents. Flight to Guangzhou; stay at White Swan Hotel. White Swan airport pickup.
September 19, 2009 Medical exam for your child in the morning. Your child will also receive several immunizations to comply with immigration requirements.
September 20, 2009 Free
September 21, 2009 Go back to the clinic to check skin test results.
September 22, 2009 Visa appointment.
September 23, 2009 3:00 p.m. Go to the consulate to take the oath and pick up visa.
September 24, 2009 Flight to Shanghai Pudong Airport. Connecting flight to U.S.A.
Sept. 24, 2009 Arrive at home airport 9:40pm!!! Everyone is welcome to greet us at the airport!!

Oh, my word! So exciting! Our time in China was so great, and I'm getting so excited for you! Enjoy each and every day! Try some of the local food (though, by the time you're in Guangzhou, you'll probably be wanting some American food!)
Good luck, and I'll be praying for that TB test; so glad we didn't have to take it!

Hint for Shanghai airport: follow the crowd to baggage claim (free carts like everywhere else in China), and then keep going "straight" out front to the outside to the buses. You have to get on the bus to go around the big oval road and across to the "international terminal".
Right now this seems like common sense, but by the time you get there, you'll be so exhausted that it won't come readily to you that the bus is the way to get to the international terminal.
Once you make that transfer, you are "home free".
